IEC National Fire Alarm Systems Curriculum. This Course is based on Requirements specified in NFPA’s National Fire Alarm Code (2019)– NFPA 72.
This unique and informative course will provide qualified journeyman electricians with the knowledge necessary to work on fire alarm systems. The ESTS Fire Alarm I Course is designed for experienced electricians, such as those specializing in fire alarm systems and limited energy. Taking the course in conjunction with NFPA 72 (2019) will prepare installers to sit for NICET certification.
Students will need to bring The NFPA 72 (2019) and Hand Tools for Meter to Circuit Testing & Lab Sessions.

About the Instructor:
Bernie Grubb has worked in the fire alarm industry for over 15 years and is NICET Level III certified as well as certified to program Kidde (VS), Siemens Desigo, Silent Knight/Farenhyt, FireLite, and Bosch. His resume includes large commercial install, troubleshooting, programming, maintenance, design, project management, and estimating with experience in all the major brands; Edwards/Kidde, Simplex, Siemens, Notifier, Silent Knight/Farenhyt, FCI Gamewell, Bosch, and FireLite. Additionally Mr. Grubb is knowledgeable in NFPA 70, NFPA 72, NFPA 101, IBC codes and the UL certification processes for fire alarm systems.
