This new solution consist of a (1) UL 489 circuit breaker and (1) AFCI or Dual Function (AF/GF) Outlet Branch-Circuit receptacle, which has been tested and listed as a system to provide complete AFCI protection within the home as required by 210.12(A)(4)(d).
The advantages of the system combination-type AFCI kit, containing (1) UL 489 circuit breaker and (1) AFCI or Dual Function (AF/GF) Outlet Branch-Circuit receptacle as indicated by the selected catalog number, include:
- Meets all requirements outlined in the NEC 210.12(A)(4)(d)
- Meets all necessary requirements of UL 1699 under category AWDT
